#259 Hoxie House MuseumThis classic Saltbox was presumably built circa 1675 and is most likely the oldest Saltbox on Cape Cod. It was the home of the town’s Sandwich second minister, Rev. John Smith, his wife, Susanna, and their 13 children. It is named for Abraham Hoxie, a Sandwich whaling captain who bought it in the 1850s. Remarkably, its occupants lived without electricity, plumbing or central heat until the early 1950s. In the late 1950s, the town purchased the Hoxie House and restored it to its current late-17th-century condition. - From Sandwich Historical Commission

On the marshes of Cape Cod.
My favorite color is sunrise....I don't think there is any place more beautiful....
I keep coming back to my favorite place. I probably have hundreds of pictures - different times of year, times of day, with and without people. Every one is unique. I love the rainbow of colors in this sunrise image.
With photography there is always something new to learn. I have been playing around with different editing - I think this picture is a great one to play with the vibrancy and clarity - to me it almost has a modern take on Norman Rockwell feel. What do you think?
If you are in a beautiful place where you can enjoy sunrise and sunset, then you are living like a lord. ~Nathan Phillips Yup, life is good.
I think this staircase at the Heritage Museum has a secret garden feel to it. What do you think?
Not the sunrise picture I had in mind at 4:30 this morning. But I love this boardwalk no matter the weather. Has a special place in my heart.
All the colors of the rainbow were on display last night at the marina. Glad I stopped on my way home.
#652 - Not the typical Cape Cod picture but it still speaks to the peace I find here. This is a quiet bench on Shawme Pond. It feels like a spot where I would sit and read something like the Chronicals of Narnia or some other childhood favorite.
The view from that second floor porch must be amazing! On the marsh facing the boardwalk. It looked like ocean front property today.
